John participated in the Foreign Direct Investment Moot Competition 2019, an event organised by Africa Nazarene University, Strathmore University and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kenya; under two themes.
First, he presented a paper titled “Are International Tribunals and Courts Getting It?: Adjudication of Sustainable development in Investment Arbitration Tribunals”. This paper is a critique of what has been termed by scholars and practitioners as the “most important” case laws with regard to investment arbitration and sustainable development before international arbitration tribunals.
Second, he presided as the president of the final round of the moot where Strathmore university emerged as winners. Congratulations to Strathmore University for their win.
